Some people say "I'm not sure right now" as they leave after a procedure.
Others come back a few days later and say, "It looks a bit different now."
There's a reason why the perceived timing varies for the same procedure.
Take just one minute to read this.
What is felt immediately and what comes later
Changes felt immediately after a procedure are mainly the result of the heated tissue contracting momentarily. Your contours may appear slightly more defined in the mirror.
However, this is not a long-lasting change. There will be a period within a few days when it feels like it has returned to its original state.
Many people judge that "there was no effect" during this period, but the actual changes begin afterwards.

Looking at it by timeframe
| Period | What appears |
|---|---|
| Same day | Heat sensation, numbness. Temporary contour definition |
| 2 days to 1 week | Period when immediate sensation fades. Swelling or stiffness may remain |
| 2 weeks to 2 months | Tissue reaction progresses, and changes in elasticity gradually appear |
Therefore, a judgment can only be made by comparing photos taken the day after the procedure with photos taken two months later. One or two days is too early.

Why the timing differs for each person
Skin thickness, amount of fat, and existing elasticity vary. Even with the same settings, the layer reached by the energy and the extent of the reaction will differ.
There are also differences depending on age. If tissue reaction is active, changes may appear quickly, otherwise, it may take more time.

The first factor determining results: which layer was treated
If the layer of concern and the layer reached by the procedure are misaligned, the change may feel small.
This is the case when the concern is the skin texture on the surface, but only deep layers are treated, or when the weight is concentrated downwards, but only the surface is treated.
If you confirm which layer is targeted before proceeding, it will be easier to understand the subsequent progress.
If your concern is sagging in the deep layers, you may also want to refer to the article that explains which layer buccal fat sagging comes from.

The second factor determining results: repetition interval
This is not a one-time procedure. It is a procedure where tissue reactions accumulate, so the perceived effect often changes when repeated with an interval.
However, shortening the interval does not necessarily increase the reaction. A waiting period is needed while the previous reaction progresses.

What to confirm during consultation
You can ask three questions: which layer will be treated and why with that intensity, how many sessions will be done and at what intervals, and when the progress will be checked.
These three factors are more closely related to the results than the number of shots or the name of the equipment.

Recovery and precautions
Swelling, erythema, and a feeling of pressure may occur, and there are individual differences in the degree and duration.
If you have an important schedule approaching, it is better to check in advance if it overlaps with the recovery period.
It is safer to consult with medical staff before proceeding to confirm if the intensity is appropriate for your condition.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is it a failure if there is no change immediately after the procedure?
No. The immediate sensation is a temporary reaction, and changes in elasticity tend to appear over several weeks afterwards.
When should I take photos for comparison?
You can start looking after the swelling has subsided, and comparing with photos taken around two months later will make it easier to judge.
Will I improve faster if I shorten the interval?
Not necessarily. Time is needed for the previous reaction to progress, so shortening the interval does not directly lead to faster results.
How much pain is there?
The degree of pain varies greatly from person to person. If you feel strong pain during the procedure, please let us know and we will adjust the intensity.
Can I receive it only once?
It depends on your condition and goals. Some people are satisfied with one session, while others receive it repeatedly with intervals.
