What is Xeomin?
A pure botulinum toxin type A product developed by Merz, Germany. Unlike conventional botox, it uses only the pure 150kDa neurotoxin with complexing proteins removed, minimizing the risk of antibody formation (resistance) during repeated treatments.
How It Works
The pure 150kDa botulinum toxin cleaves SNAP-25 protein at the neuromuscular junction to block acetylcholine release. Without unnecessary complexing proteins, the likelihood of immune response is low, maintaining stable long-term effects.
